Pros - Great hotel close proximity to the Riverwalk, overlooking the Alamo (on one side). Our king bed room was quite large with a large bathroom. Check in was nice and we were greeted as Hilton Members. Bar was decent. 11th floor rooftop view was awesome. Sunday night price was great. Cons - There is only valet parking. ($47+) Per the website we thought there was a self parking option. Misunderstanding. There was a cleaning issue in the bathroom. Because of the downtown location, it can be noisy for some. Overall, despite issues, we would be happy to stay at this location again.

Right off the riverwalk so it’s a good location. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were nice. But the real standout was your server, Eric. I travel a lot, and I’ve never seen anyone treat a guest like he treated me. When I was trying to come up with ideas, he didn’t just tell us his favorite restaurant or typical tourist spots. He asked about our family, where we were from, we like the same restaurant in Chicago! After talking a bit, he told us about things not on the tourist map. My husband is a gardener so he told us about the botanical gardens and Japanese garden. I like architecture and he told us about his favorite buildings and why! He didn’t just tell us about the Alamo, he changed our vacation! Next time I saw him, he asked us what we did and gave us two more recommendations based on our feedback! This trip was not at all what we planned, it was even better. Thank you Eric for making this vacation special and unique!

Booked this room on a work trip to a conference - it was a very straightforward 0.5 mi walk to the conference center, and very close to the Riverwalk. Appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room (and Walgreens is a short walk for any drinks/snacks to stock, in addition to what they sell in the lobby). The hotel was bustling with different conferences and sports tournaments, but the room was always quiet. The free wifi was a little spotty at times, but we were able to keep up on any work we needed to do in the room. We didn't need much but the employees were always friendly and wonderful. Tahsin at the front desk was amazing - we requested a shower mat because the tub was VERY slippery (there is a sign in the bathroom offering a nonslip mat on request), and Mario from housekeeping seemed to bring it immediately. Breakfast is not included but is available for a price - and they serve fresh coffee and hot water in the lobby in the morning. We would definitely consider staying again the next time work brings us here!

We travel to San Antonio regularly and stay at different hotels. We have not been able to call any our home away from home until now. The rooms here were good, and everything was good but our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Riverwalk was made spectacular because of Q, the valet attendant. He made our family feel safe and welcomed every time we'd come and go (whether or not we were requesting valet service). We didn't interact with front desk much since the ground level, which leads directly to parking, allowed us to go directly to our room (front desk/lobby is on the 2nd floor), so having a warm and welcome from valet when we returned was everything! It elevated our experience and would be the primary reason for our return to this location in the future. First impressions last! Q's service was impeccable; 5-Diamond level with meticulous attention to detail, and kindness that exceeded our expectations. He seems genuinely happy to help and to be a blessing to others. We appreciated the opportunity to meet him. He deserves the highest level of honor, and show of appreciation by Hilton and the managing staff at this location. Thank you to Q for helping to make our trip special.

Pretty nice hotel. Service is great. Had a small issue with my room but was resolved very quickly. Much appreciated! Close to Riverwalk and the food in the restaurant is not too bad at all. Breakfast is especially good. Will return on my next trip to San Antonio.

This would be our fifth time staying at this hotel and it’s always very clean and well kept up with. This time we did have a couple hiccups, but they were immediately fixed by the front receptionist Tahsin who responded to them in a timely manner. Our A/C wasn’t working the first night of our stay and he made accommodations to put us into a new room. The highlight of our stay was when we were supposed to have our rooms cleaned however the house keeper who told us she would be back at 12 never came back. We had a wonderful lady by the name of ALOMA come by and ask if we needed towels, but went above and beyond to clean our room. When we returned our room was spotless and she was just there to deliver towels but took the extra mile and took care of us. I highly recommend this hotel because the hospitality it’s phenomenal!!

Great location. Room was small but nice and clean. A quick walk to the riverwalk. We didn’t have a vehicle so it was nice to walk out of the hotel and be near a lot of shops and restaurants . Small rooftop pool but it was clean and they had a pretty decent sitting area.

It was an amazing stay from the time Crystal checked us in until Tahsin and Destiny checked us out. They were always so welcoming and always wore a smile any time we saw them. Eric hooked me up with a killer old fashioned on our last night. Ralph and Chris made an appetizing breakfast spread!!! Femmy was on the ball at the bar when we arrived and at breakfast when we left. Laberta, Jessica, and Maria in housekeeping are fantastic too! This staff went above and beyond to make a birthday weekend away so special! Valet was so great when we arrived. Dee and Jonathan were great in helping us get parked up and had pleasant conversations, then were prompt and service-centered when we retrieved our vehicle.
